He has been compared to a snake on several occasions, manipulative and full of schemes. Brave knows how to gain favors and is not afraid to crack a few heads to obtain what he need. He is a hunter, and he will deal with those he hunt in whichever way is best. Sometimes it means helping them, other times it means killing them. Of course, there are rules too, rules Brave understand to bend without technically breaking. This has a lot to do with his former life as a dark sorcerer and practitioner of forbidden arts. He is a changed man however, which is clear as soon as it comes to Kenji, then everything described prior goes out the window, and Brave tries to do the best he can on the side of “good” and being the best boyfriend he can be. He also becomes quick to anger when someone threatens his beloved, which is considerably less to his advantage, but he tries. the abilities Special abilities • Most of Brave’s powers comes from his enormous knowledge of the supernatural, of incantations and spells, as well as his huge collection of all sorts of artifacts intended for different purposes. By far, most of the spells are not intended for direct combat purposes, and one will not see Brave fling about fireballs left and right. All of Brave’s knowledge is meant to deal with the supernatural and not with common villains or heroes, those belong to the mortal world. Of course, he has things to protect himself with. Of course, Brave possesses some gifts from his former life as Yamata no Orochi, which is huge strength and durability, capable of lifting several tons while in his true form, great speed, capable of moving faster than a human at peak performance. Brave also has, from his earlier life, an inherent control and ability to manipulate water. He also possess great agility, capable of feats beyond that of a normal human, and great cunning. Brave is also capable of recognizing lies, and is extremely hard to fool. Brave has also inherited his true form, in which, he has access to the full potential of his powers, at the cost of his human appearance for a while. While in a human form, his natural powers are subdued somewhat. Strengths • Weaknesses • Brave has chosen a human form, which subdues his inherited abilities. He can turn to his real form at any time he wishes, but at the cost of being unable to revert to a human form for six minutes. Most spells Brave cast take time and/or some form of preparation, which means that it takes time, and can rarely be done instantaneously. Brave is not invincible nor immortal by nature, and can be harmed by mortal means. Skills • Brave is a highly accomplished martial artist who is more than capable of handling himself in both unarmed and armed combat. Brave also possesses great knowledge in the arcane, occult and supernatural. He possesses many, many years of both experience and knowledge within these areas, both when it comes to artifacts, creatures, spells, history and legends. Brave has great training in acrobatics and parkour, enabling Brave to scale a great many physical barriers and challenges in pursuit of his goals. Brave is an accomplished calligrapher and finds great calm and peace in his writings. Furthermore, Brave is a decent painter, having a couple decades of experience. the history father • Yamata No Orochi mother • N/A siblings • N/A important people • Kenji Hatake(Boyfriend) hometown • (area for the seven rivers) Japan overall history • Almost everyone is aware of the story of the great Susanoo and his battle with the dreaded Yamata no Orochi. However, there was a very important detail about this story, that is always left out. aPerhaps because no one knew, perhaps because it wasn’t important to those who wanted to tell the story. Whatever the reason, it was left out. The detail in question is this, during the battle between the human warrior Susanoo, and the seven headed serpent Orochi, both combatants spilled blood into the raging river that was their battleground. As Orochi started to realize that he was loosing the battle, a plan quickly hatched within it’s sly and clever mind. It could use it’s blood as well as it’s foe’s that had been spilled in the river, to form a body for itself, a body to inhabit. Orochi chose to make the body in the shape of a human, using Susanoo’s blood as a template. This of course, ensured Orochi’s defeat, as it was a complicated task, while fighting a man his equal. As Orochi died, his soul traveled into his new body, formed far down the river, far away from Susanoo. Of course, a human body could not contain all of Orochi’s soul, and thus, only one of seven parts of his soul inhabited the body. Thus, Brave, taking name after one of Susanoo’s greater qualities, as well as what it took Orochi to leap into this body, emerged from the waters, without much memory of what had happened. Brave grew and learned, slowly becoming a great man, yet staying outside the pages of history. He wasn’t a man of great morality, he wasn’t a man of “good” often doing things that could be considered quite evil for his own gains sake. As time passed, Brave amassed quite a collection, of both knowledge and items, even Susanoo’s old sword, the one who had slain him so very long ago. Brave even started a cult with a fellow Sorcerer named Franz Horwitz, a cult that Brave benifitted greatly from. However. One night, everything changed. It had started as a simple routine collection. A werewolf was loose and had hidden in an old, abandoned building. It would be child’s play, to capture the beast, for his own uses. Thus Brave had gone in, expecting only a werewolf. However, someone else had found out about the creature’s location, or had ended up in the abandoned building all the same. One way or another, Brave decided to investigate, and with a cloaking spell in place, he sought out the other energy. However, when he laid his eyes on Kenji, studied him and his mannerisms, Brave felt a connection. As if the house had gotten turned upside down. He found himself caring about the safety of this mortal, about this person. Brave had never experienced it before, but he liked this feeling. Thus, when the werewolf attacked the young man, Brave stepped in, blocking the werewolf’s path. It was a fearsome beast, but Brave was not afraid. All he knew was that he had to protect the young man and his camera, the young man he knew nothing about. He managed to save the young man, and send the werewolf away to his hidden lair, but Brave found himself with a few flesh-wounds. Brave soon found himself in Kenji’s apartment as well, shirtless and being tended to by the cute, kind and mute young man. Not that it mattered to Brave, he instantly understood what Kenji said, sometimes even without Kenji having to sign anything. Clearly he could hear, so Brave talked and answered, holding a conversation with Kenji like few to no other most likely ever had. Since then, Brave kept in contact with Kenji, seeing more and more of him, Brave found a strange new emotion within him, and he realized he was in love with this young man. Brave had quickly figured out that Kenji was what could be considered a real goodie two shoe as some would say, with views on the side of “Good” in the morality spectrum, with morals and ethics and all such things that Brave had never bothered with. In fact, Brave realized that up until now, he could be considered quite evil. He did not want Kenji to see that side of him, and he would not be that man anymore, for Kenji’s sake. So now, with his boyfriend at his side, Brave finds himself trying to do good, adjusting to being on the right side of morality, and generally fumbling through an entirely new world. Things has changed a lot for Brave, but as they say, “a man can only run from his sins for so long before they catch up to him.” and Brave has only just started running… the role player Doctormichael • Doc works just fine ^^ age • 23 years old pronouns • He, his other characters • Daken, Magneto, Graydon Creed, Nightcrawler |
