overall appearance • To everyone who lays eyes upon him, Daken is an alluring and beautiful young looking man. His half-Caucasian, half-Asian descent evident to all. His rich, dark mane of hair cut into a simple, wild looking Mohawk, which somehow gives him more of a bad boy look than anything. To further enhance the wild, bad boy look that Daken carries, is a large tribal tattoo extending from the center of his abdomen and covering most of his left pectoral muscle, trapezius, and arm all the way down to his fist. Most of the time, Daken wears whatever he feels like or need to wear, but he do seem to have a preference for suits.

overall personality • Daken is a complicated man to say the least. There is many facets and sides to Daken, sometimes, he is pleasant and flirtatious, seeking nothing but pleasing his own needs and have some fun, while other times, he'll butcher a family for shit and giggles. Daken is a man with many plans and plans within plans, most of which ties in his obsession, issues and hate for his Father, Wolverine. Daken truly hates his father, and yet, in some way, idolizes the idea of taking his place, to become what his father's enemies fear, to obtain the same fear in his own enemies. So in truth, Daken's emotions when it comes to his father, are very complicated. Besides those, he is a hedonist who enjoys doing whatever he wish as long as he enjoy it. Daken possesses no morals what so ever, and sees no difference between "right" and "wrong", though he is very skilled at pretending and acting.

Special abilities • Regenerative Healing Factor
Daken's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing factor that allows him to rapidly regenerate damaged or destroyed bodily tissues, and/or cells as well as lost limbs and damaged organs from within seconds to minutes depending on the severity of the wound. Daken's healing factor also grants him an immunity to all diseases, and gives him a powerful defense against foreign chemicals such as alcohol or drugs, except in extremely excessive doses that would kill most people. Further more, his healing factor has given Daken:

Superhuman Durability: Daken's Skin, bone, and muscle tissues are considerably stronger and harder than humans.
Superhuman Stamina: As the case is with his father, Daken's healing factor grants him a high immunity against lactic acid and other fatigue toxins generated by his muscles during physical activity, granting him exceptional endurance. Even his lung capacity is at peak human level, enabling him to hold breath for 6 minutes under water, making his lungs as healthy as humans lungs can get.He can also exert himself for at least 24 hours before the buildup of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.

Superhuman Speed: Daken is capable of running and moving at speeds superior to those of any Olympic athlete, and is capable of reaching speeds of 40 mph. He has the ability to attack faster than the eye can follow. His combat speed seems more enhanced then anything else, as he has frequently kept up with other enemies in combat, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers.

Superhuman Agility: Daken's agility, balance, flexibility, dexterity, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.

Superhuman Reflexes: Daken's reflexes are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete as well.
Longevity: His healing factor also grants Daken an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process to a much slower pace than a normal human. Though he was born sometime in 1946, he retains the health, appearance and physical vitality of a man in the physical prime of his life.

Superhumanly Acute Senses: Daken is in possession of superhumanly acute senses, meaning he can see much further and with greater clarity than a normal human and Daken even retains much of this clarity even in near total darkness. Daken's hearing is similarly enhanced, enabling him to detect sounds normal humans can't as well as sounds they ordinarily could but at much greater distances. Daken's sense of smell is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an extraordinary degree of success. Daken can also use his keen sense of smell to detect lies due to chemical changes within a person's scent.


Insulated Weather Adaptation: Daken is able to withstand incredibly cold temperatures without sustaining bodily damage for great periods of time, even to the point of sleeping in sub-zero temperatures


Retractable Bone Claws: Daken possesses three retractable claws housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms; two on the top of his hands which emerge from between the skin of his first and third knuckles and one underneath beneath his wrist. Daken's bone claws are black in color with a very rough texture, in contrast to the light color and smooth texture of his father's claws in their natural state. These claws are much harder and denser than normal human bone and their natural shape provides them with a razor sharp edge capable of easily slicing through flesh and bone very easily, and able to penetrate metals as potentially as durable as those created by Iron man.


Pheromone Control: Daken possesses another unique ability, which is a physical ability and not Psionic. Daken has the ability to manipulate his pheromones and can use them to suppress his own scent to such a degree that theoretically even feral mutants senses are unable to detect him. He can also use his pheromones to manipulate the emotional state and sensory perceptions of other beings. This in turn allows him to seemingly appear where enemies can't see him, enabling him to inflect damage before an opponent realizes it and such tactics give opponents the belief that he can either teleport or move at superhuman speeds. Daken can as earlier mentioned instill intense fear, happiness, depression, sexual arousal, a false sense of security among many other emotions into other beings. Daken used this power unconsciously during his youth and formative years, and they may very well have been a primary reason his adoptive mother didn't love him. However Romulus have taught him to consciously use and control this power since. Daken also possesses a great knowledge of the capabilities of pheromones in general as well as their taste and smell. In conjunction with his enhanced senses and knowledge of pheromones, he can thus expertly judge the emotional/physical state of those around him, both animal and human.


Telepathic Immunity: Daken is also in possession of a high resistance to telepathy. His mind even contains a form of psychological "trap" awaiting anyone foolishly attempting to delve too deep into his head. Presumably this trap was helped put into place by Romulus who gave Daken intense training on how to control his own psyche, consciousness and subconsciousness. This trap potentially allows Daken to reach back through the link while trapping the Telepath's consciousness for a little while and gives him the ability to control the telepath who has entered his mind. It may also be able to restore lost memories, though Daken has not have a need to test this out.

Weaknesses • Carbonadium Digestion: Daken's healing factor can be dramatically slowed if Carbonadium is implanted inside of him, such as swallowing Carbonadium or being wounded by a bullet composed of it. It causes his healing factor to be reduced to a slow crawl, at least in comparison to its normal speed, but doesn't fully suppress it.

Heat Pills: Heat Pills are an encapsulated drug that is mainly distributed to L.A's mostly young, and powerful elite. Not only is it highly addictive and a potent hallucinogen, but it is also able to temporarily suppress advanced healing factors like Daken's. Side effects include blackouts and memory loss

Skills •

Master Martial Artist
Daken has shown himself to be a superb hand to hand combatant and was trained by both Burr and Romulus. A good deal of his success, however, may also be attributed to his unique ability to use his pheromones to alter the perception and emotional state of others. This gives him a tremendous advantage during combat situations. Daken has also been trained as a Samurai and thus possesses great skill with weapons as well.

Expert Marksman
Daken is an expert with several rifles and other firearms, skills Romulus and Burr has taught him as a result of their intentions on making Daken a master combatant and assassin.

Skilled Acrobat
Since Daken is much more light weight than his father, he can do more "acrobatics" in the air, which also gives him an advantage against his opponents. He is skilled in gymnastics, acrobatics and aerials capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats.

Expert Tracker and Hunter
Due to his enhanced senses and Romulus and Burr's training and his own keen memory, Daken is a dangerous tracker and has memorized many different scents while capable of memorizing many more as need be.

Daken has the ability to speak English, Japanese, Greek, and German due to training from Burr and Romulus.

Daken can quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations. Further more, he is a great tactician when he feels like it.

overall history • Daken's story started In 1946, Daken's mother, a Japanese woman named Itsu, was murdered by one of Romulus assassins in an yet another bout to torture Daken's farther, Wolverine, from behind the scenes. After Itsu's death, and Wolverine leaving to hunt down the assassin in a murderous rage, Romulus approached Itsu's corpse and took young Daken, who was still alive, cutting him from his mother's cooling womb and leaving her body behind. Daken survived the horrible incident, to no surprise to Romulus, due to his healing factor which he inherited from his father.

Romulus, as the next step in one of his greater plans, left Daken on the doorstep of Akihira and Natsumi Nagashi's home, a wealthy, young and traditional Japanese couple. They took the child's arrival as an answer to their prayers and raised him as their own. Though he was named Akihiro by his father, the servants and other families of the province secretly referred to the boy as Daken (駄犬, "bastard dog"), a slur on his obvious mixed heritage. As Akihiro grew up, he was often teased by the other boys of the village. His harsh treatment over the years caused Daken to develop a very cold persona to all except his father.

One night, eleven years later, Natsumi confessed to Akihira that she didn't love their adopted son and after several long years of trying, she was pregnant. Daken, having been hiding nearby, overheard this and began plotting his own personal revenge-. Within a year, sometime in 1957 after the birth of the baby, Daken confronted his mother, telling her that he had killed her son. This, was in fact truth, though he had been kind enough to kill the baby in his sleep. Akihira who had overheard the confrontation was furious and disowned Akihiro, who furiously responded that "Akihiro" was not his true name.

Natsumi then tried to run Daken through with a sword in a fit of grieving rage, triggering the onset of Daken's mutant powers. With a wave of his arm, he accidentally slashed Natsumi with the bone claws that had sprung from his hands. Unable to force himself to harm his son, Akihira instead committed suicide with a shocked Daken watching. Romulus, who knew that this night would be vital, then appeared to the boy for the first time since he had cut Daken from the womb, telling him that he was what the boy would one become

Romulus, who intrigued and frightened Daken sent him to a training camp in Canada. There, Daken was trained by a man known as Silas Burr. Burr trained Daken for more than two years, before he one day went missing. While two search parties were sent out, Daken, at the behest of Romulus who had taken him from the camp in the first place, reappeared in the camp and killed every man left there before confronting Burr. During their fight, Daken displayed what Romulus described as an ability to alter a person's emotional state, another of his mutant powers. His Pheromone control. Daken used this ability to put Burr in a very good mood, confusing him and allowing Daken to draw first blood with his claws. Burr, however, quickly recovered and Daken soon found himself on the ground with Burr revolver aimed at the prone Daken, Burr prepared to kill his student. Daken, however, used his Pheromones to fool Burrs senses into thinking he had incredible speed and thus, suddenly appeared behind Burr, or at least Burr perceived it as suddenly, with the revolver and emptied it into Burr. As Daken then prepared to kill his trainer, Romulus appeared once again, having watched the fight from the shadows and stopped him, telling Daken that he had plans for Burr.

Romulus then took Daken with him, and became his new teacher, training Daken. After several years, Romulus revealed to Daken that his father was still alive, but lied at the same time, telling Daken that it was Wolverine who had killed Itsu with Daken still inside her. Romulus told Daken that Wolverine feared what Daken would become and it was this lie that sowed the seed of vengeance in Daken that Romulus continued to feed in the following decades. When Romulus finally deemed Daken ready, he released him into the world to seek out Wolverine or do whatever else he wished, though as Romulus knew, Daken would indeed seek his father out. Now, He is in the states, hunting, seeking, and when he find his father. Blood will flow. Or so Daken thought. He then met the famous mutant, Ororo Munroe, or Storm as she was known, who offered Daken, posing as the young mutant "Aki", to show him the school. Accepting, Daken was driven to Xavier's school, where, to his own shock and surprise, he found his father. Daken is now posing as a guest and potential student at the school, plotting and planning. His father not yet aware of his identity, this was a chance he couldn't afford to waste.
