identifying features • Pen has a few, small scars scattered about her body, but primarily on her arms from incidents. There is a noticeable scar on her right shoulder where she was trying to fix a computer and lacerated herself on the way out of the tower.

overall appearance • Being of Asian ethnicity, our little angry teen has light tan-tinted skin and dark, slanted eyes. She sports a school uniform of a green tie, black half-thigh skirt and white oxford shirt. Outside of that, she can be found in simple jeans or shorts and a long t-shirt or tank top. Pen has also been known to hang around in her robes for a little while after her white martial arts training sessions.

There isn't a great deal of curves or muscle of her frame. Pen is a lanky girl with a long body. Her nails reach just passed her finger tips and her hair is kept as a relatively short, choppy bob. If you didn't know any better, you'd think she has her bangs cut as they are in order to hide behind them.

Pen has serious anger issues, of which she of course denies. It is entirely too easy to get the girl riled up if you push the right buttons. Want to pick a fight? You really need not try hard. Pride intermixes with her rage, often leading her to making poor decisions involving violence. In the past, her father has tried to place her in classes and groups that benefit those with mood disorders and anger management problems, but she refused every one. Instead, her spare time was put towards martial arts classes, fencing and in the past, archery as a means of giving her hobbies that can help blow off steam.

Rather antisocial, she has thus far only chosen to converse with two people online as they play video games. She has had a poor upbringing and has put up offensive walls around herself as a defense against others. At home, insults and threats are common to keep others at bay so that she can go about her own business. Pen shows absolutely no interest in expanding her social network or getting to know anyone other than her online friends, period. If she must speak, it can come off as a little hostile if a conversation starts and otherwise answers people in very short, close ended responses.

Despite her critical flaws as written above, Pen is good-natured in mind. Or.. so she tries to be. Much of the time, empathy is non-existent to her unless she genuinely cares for someone. Outside of that, she does what she can to tell herself to do the right thing and look from the perspective of another, when she isn't too far withdrawn from the opposing individual.

Well-paid schooling or natural wit, Pen is an intelligent individual when she isn't letting rage and rash judgement get the best of her. She picks up on techniques and new skills rapidly and she has incredible muscle memory. Unfortunately, Pen doesn't have the greatest amount of patience for truly much. The only thing that has pushed her through succeeding in her academics is the threat of being sent to military school. Pen simply lacks the care and need otherwise.

Special abilities •

- Spatial awareness and superior reaction time/reflexes: While she appears human, she is not. Pen is that off-brand of Mutant that can remain under the radar, because you would think training is what brought her to her level of skill. Pen can sense movement of vicinity roughly the size of a small to medium size gymnasium. The more obstacles there are, the easier it is to hide and remain undetected. Within close quarters, say her bedroom or living room, Pen can tell when someone else has entered the room and she can feel when eyes are on her from within the vicinity labeled earlier.

Another thing going for her is her superior reaction time and intense reflexes. More likely to smack away a thrown item rather than catch it, her time within sports such as football have increased her likely-hood to capture the object. Pen has proven to be a true ace when it comes to taking on martial arts of fluid and swift motion. If she were to throw a strike today, depending on how much energy she has at the time, it may appear as a blurred motion. There have been students that have yet to move or react before she has already launched her second or third attack.

Strengths • If Pen would care enough to apply herself to socializing in a proper manner, she would make a decent leader. She believes that sacrifices can and should be made for the greater good if it means a few lives must be lost in the process. If it were to have to be her own, so be it. Her thought process is simple and complex at the same time. Everything she is thinking about upfront is simple and straight forward with little to no room for grey area while what waits behind that has countless of branches and possible combinations.

Weaknesses •

- Not a strong swimmer: The teen doesn't float well nor does she ever find herself getting far in the water.

- Poor Interaction: It's not so much that she has.. incredibly poor social skills. It's that Pen doesn't care and she has a negative outlook on both the world and the people in it. Any time that does not have to be wasted on someone neutral or less is time well spent, in her eyes. Though Pen won't or simply hasn't acknowledged it, she expects the same interactions from home and past school years to mirror new social situations. Pen views most everyone has stupid, flawed and deems social encounters with them doomed to become an argument or extremely irritating. The only people she chooses to interact with in her free time and on the go are two people she plays video games with over the internet. The other person would be her Krav Maga and Fencing instructors for the sake of continuing her training with them.


Skills •

- Gymnastics: Pen hasn't practiced much it since grade school and early middle school years. It was the first thing her father started her out in in hopes that it would help discipline her and give an activity to burn up negative energy. Today Pen still uses the stretches and basics of this to remain flexible and agile.

- Krav Maga: She has succeeded far in her continued Krav Maga lessons. The contact combat and its focus on boxing, wrestling and brutal counter-attacks have given her sure aid against those who would wish to advance on her as menace. Not only has it granted her the ability to evade harm and take weapons, but also take down and stun opponents with the knowledge of pressure points.

- Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun: By no means is she a master. Pen does not possess the strength or power drive to perform well in this category, however, she has been educated on its teachings. This was one of her first two studies into martial arts, mostly out of her being a fan of Bruce Lee. Pen has picked up on its teachings and has learned to recognize like-situations within it. Overall, Pen took pressure points and easy ways to lock opponents in a detained state until she can decide what to do next.
