Weaknesses • He can't create earth; he has to use what is around him (though considering his power this is only a small limitation), he has to be in contact with the ground to be able to use it, artificial solids like glass/metal is extremely difficult to control and takes a great deal of concentration, and even then it's near impossible for him to manipulate them

identifying features • Franz has very sharp teeth and a very pointy nose.

overall appearance • Franz is a tall, broad chested man with a chiseled jaw and strong features. He has a muscled physique and brown, wild looking hair that is slightly longer in the back than front, always well combed as well. Franz has very sharp, shark like teeth and a pointy nose, and his eyes always seem to slightly glow.

Simple personality • Franz is manipulative, vengeful, sly, sadistic, exploitative, charismatic, greedy, hateful, patient and thoughtful.

the abilities

Special abilities • Like Brave, Franz possesses an enormous knowledge of the supernatural, of incantations and spells, as well as his huge collection of all sorts of artifacts, intended for different purposes. Unlike Brave however, most of the spells Franz uses are intended for direct combat purposes. Franz’s knowledge and spells are intended to deal with the supernatural and normal alike, which means Franz can hold his own surprisingly well in a fight with both supernatural and natural enemies.

Franz also possesses an incredible magical control over shadows, controlled by his indomitable will. He is capable of conjuring shadows out of nowhere as well as take control of present ones, and can shape and change them in all sorts of ways after what he needs.

Franz also practices a form of magic fueled by negative emotions, such as pain, suffering and fear. For this purpose, he carries with him a locket with the ensnared souls of his first wife and two daughters, locked in eternal torment within the locket. This dark, hideous magic allows Franz to cast truly dark magic.

Franz is also capable of leeching off magical sources and absorb spells to certain degrees, he may not be able to devour a familiar, but he could perhaps absorb a fireball.

Weaknesses • Dabbling in such dark arts and magics as Franz does, has left him at quite the disadvantage when dealing directly with light magic, meaning he prefers to face such foes indirectly or through subterfuge.

Franz is terribly vain, and if this side of him is appealed to in an convincing manner, it may make him complacent, for a while.

Franz, despite everything, holds a form of twisted honor, and if one surrenders completely and totally, submitting to him, he will cease his aggressions, much to his own frustration.

If one can convince Franz that they are not worth his plots and plans, and thus of no consequence, Franz is surprisingly harmless, even pleasant company.

overall history • Franz was the son of a warlock and a witch, so magic ran strongly in his bloodline. From an early age, he practiced magic and was surprisingly skilled. As he grew older, he grew more powerful, and was encouraged to pursue a darker path of magic by his parents. All too eager once he learned of the power he was granted this way, Franz began to plot. When he was ready, and before his parents had anticipated, he confronted them and drained them of every last drop of magic and life force they contained, empowering himself a hundredfold. His parents, as he learned, had had the same plan for him and his siblings, whom he drained as well.

However, his mother and father had expected this outcome, congratulating Franz on passing the final test, killing them. Since then, Franz sought to empower himself and live life to it’s fullest, scouring the world for all sorts of artifacts and tomes, learning a great deal along the way, as well as siring several children, most of which were quickly killed for one reason or another. Worst off was his first wife and two daughters, who’s souls Franz imprisoned to fuel his dark magic. One day, Franz met another practitioner of the dark arts, an oriental man with the ironic name of Brave. The two, after spending a week locked in a stalemate in a magical duel, decided to work together to empower them both.

They even started a cult made up of lesser, but still potent spell casters and magic wielders, named The cult of the Serpent. Profiting off their members work, empowering themselves and learning more and more, Franz liked this partnership with Brave, much to his own surprise. Then, one day, Brave simply vanished without a trace, leaving Franz as the leader of the cult, but with only half of their collected magical items and so on, Franz part that was. Since then, Franz has been looking for Brave, searching for his former partner, and to find out why he betrayed Franz, and disappeared. And of course, exact his gruesome revenge…
